OH LOOK IM NOT DEAD, AND ANOTHER NIGHT SKY- WHO WOULD'VE GUESSED :la:

Commission for the wonderful yamiyo!
Thank you so much for commissioning me Yami, you really made me challenge myself with such a beautifully detailed character- not to mention a background! I tried so many different backgrounds for this, and FINALLY i managed to settle with this one. I'm improving, slowly. I'm pretty proud of this!
I'm sorry if i got anything wrong with Keyadrel. He's such a detailed character, and he looks a little bit different in every one of your pictures. But i hope i did him Justice. :dummy:
Tell me if you want anything changing, Yami! ~<3

First of all, gorgeous picture. I love it. It's such a beautiful blue shading.

If you don't mind, I'll add some critique. Mostly on the background but do keep in mind that I am not the best background drawer. XD

Well first off, I feel like the rocks are a bit flat and not depth added to it. Perhaps next time, add darker shadows to them, especially in the cracks. It will really make the rocks 'pop' out.

Also the areas where the glowing 'shrooms are next to the rocks seem to be lacking some light on the rocks. Rocks reflect the light, almost sometimes like water. For me, I always use a simple hard brush and paint small strokes of the light reflecting on the rock.

The grass is really good but if you love detail like me, then next time add more grass 'hairs'. Sometimes all the grass in my pictures you can see all the hairs. Just pick various shades of the color for the grass and use that nifty little grass brush that is given to you on PS(unless you want to draw every strand by hand lol)

One cool technique I've learned for the night sky is that in the farthest corners of the picture(furthest away from your light source like the moon), make the sky even blacker. Have a slightly lighter black color for the sky closest to the light source in the sky(if there is any) and pitch black for the corners farthest from the light.

Finally, my last part is that perhaps next time, don't blur the background that is farther away from you. While that is a necessary thing for photography, I've never seen it work that well in art pictures. Just allow your little islands to be as detail and visible as your main foreground. <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=":) (Smile)"/>

Of course, you don't have to follow these tips, I was just offering my outlook on it. It's a brilliant picture. Keep up the awesome work!
